• LOOKING AHEAD
    This Year

This year, in November, we will hold our annual 5 K race one of our key fund raising events for the farm. We draw about 200 people to the race and this year we are going to add a family fun run and a kiddies run to the event. The event is run out of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Pawleys Island and the course runs thru our beautiful live oak tree lanes and past one of our Outreach Farms in the community.

    3-5 Years

Our 3-5 year plan calls for us to find a way to become self-sufficient. Right now we have to raise all the required funds for equipment, operating expenses and our one employee. We do this thru grants, fund raisers, and gifts from supporters. In addition to raising cattle to feed the hungry, as we are able to afford more leased acreage, we will also grow more hay in excess of our needs and sell it to farms in the area to generate needed funds for the farm – ultimately becoming financially self -sufficient. This is our long term goal.

The Outreach Farm is the only organization of its kind in the United States. For longer term consideration, we have received inquiries from other people interested in duplicating the Outreach Farm in other areas of South Carolina. This may be done on a franchise basis or on some other kind of sharing approach.
